On 14th February 2019, one of the worst and deadliest terror attack took place at Pulwama district where 40 CRPF officers were martyred and 8 were injured.
A Jaish suicide bomber smashed a car carrying over 200 kg of high-grade explosives into their convoy in Pulwama district.
A charge sheet has been filled by the National Investigation Agency, running over 13000 pages, mentioning the name of Mohammad Umar Farooq (the main accused). He is also accused of infiltrating into India through international perimeter in 2018, to plan and execute the Pulwama attack. There are three other men who are being named as Farooq’s Pakistani Compatriots. The NIA also mentioned in a press conference that this criminal conspiracy was hatched by Jaish-e-Mohammad.
Other than these, three persons have been booked for providing logistics and harbouring the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in their houses in Kashmir.
The charge sheet has been filed under section 120-B, 121, 121-A, 122, 123, 307, 302 of the Ranbir Penal Code; Section 7, 25, 27 of Arms Act; Section 3, 4, 5 & 6 of the Explosive Substances Act; Section 16, 17, 18, 18A, 18B, 19, 20, 21, 38 & 39 of the UA (P) Act; Section 14C of Foreigners Act and Section 4 of Jammu and Kashmir Public Property (Prevention of Damages) Act, 1985.
