Committee Appointed By The Calcutta High Court To Ascertain School Fee

A committee was appointed to know the income and expenditure of the schools in order to get an idea about variable cost involved and how much concession could be provided to the students for their academic fees.

Certain interim directions were issued on July 21, 2020, where it was stated that till August 15 none of the 112 schools discontinues providing the online course material, neither they could prohibit the students from giving online examination and the outstanding dues need to clear up to 80 percent.

Though there were some schools which didn’t open window for 80 percent payment, the court ordered that the school authorities can’t take any coercive action against them or exclude them from the examination.

The bench asked to make proper statement, audit particulars and has also warned if there would any false declaration or like in particulars, appropriate actions would be taken against them.
