Plea Filed in Supreme Court Against the Conduct of All India Ayush Entrance Exam on 29th August

This petition has been filed by 17 BAMS/BHMS doctors in Supreme Court, demanding to quash the notification to hold All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test on 29th August. This exam is conducted by All India Institute of Ayurveda every year.

This petition filed and presented in the court by Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava, seeking for the cancellation of exam stating some vital problems before the court. He argued that conducting examination would be violative Article 14 and Article 21 including the Home Ministry’s Unlock-3 Guidelines. He stated that every year the notification comes at least 2 months before but this time the aspirants will get only 17 days and therefore is discriminative. Another problem which is stated in the plea is the shortage of examination centres. Further, they stated that the frontline doctors would not be able to give the exams as many of them are already infected by the virus.

Another very vital point he pointed out that notification does not take into account the candidates who belong to the states that are completely flooded. And raised a question that why such a decision has been taken without consulting to stakeholders even when many stated have placed an objection to conducting any such professional exam.
